Casestudy HR

"Before, I had been working for a multinational consulting company, in the field of Human Resources, for two years. I wanted to quite because I lacked motive in this job.

My current job I had in mind for some time – it has to do with the Olympic Games, so I did not need to get information through an ad or an agency. I browsed the respective website and got excited – I found my ideals. It was what was missing from my old job. Now I had a goal, I would work for something I believe, which is also something very important.

I made applications for seven different vacancies in the fields of Human Resources and Public Relations, so as to have many possibilities of acceptance. I was asked for an interview three times…I was then rejected but they told me I should try again because I had great chances of being employed. The rejection was due to another candidate’s previous employment.

With the second round of applications and after another interview, I made it in the department of Human Resources. The work is really hard, demanding, with frenetic paces and change management. A great school. The truth is if I didn’t have the vision of the Olympics in my mind I would have probably quit. Many times what is keeping me is the goal that excites me."
